Chez Vallée was the perfect spot for our artists’ retreat! This former distillery, now a lovely bed and breakfast and wellness centre, had such a beautiful vibe with its lovely decor and amazing collection of antiques and art. Amanda, our wonderful host, made sure our stay was truly special. The meals were delicious, and the venue itself was inspiring and full of artistic inspiration. The artists all had a very productive week drawing and painting in the property’s undercover large outdoor space, although we did have the option of an indoor studio, if needed, as well. The rooms were comfy and well-appointed with lovely beds. Everyone enjoyed the pool, the stunning sunsets and the breathtaking views. The venue is surrounded by vineyards and woods, with the nearest village a very short walk, especially for a night attending their pop-up restaurant. I would highly recommend Chez Vallée to anyone looking for a unique, complete and utterly charming getaway.

We had an exceptional time in Chez Vallee. We were with 4 families (17pax) there and especially the outdoor area was just perfect for us. The pool and the Grange are offering nice shaded places to relax and get togethers outside. The kitchen offers huge space to cook together. The pool was really nice, big and clean! Everything is as described in the internet and therefore – as some few reviews complained – you cannot expect a brand new renovated house setting in such an old lovely place.

The main house offers 4 double bed rooms (3 on the 1st floor with ensuite bathroom and one in the top floor) and 3 dormitories, each with 4 beds. In the hot summer days I recommend to book the stable cottage as well (this one has air con, while all other rooms are without aircon). The top floor and the chalet are getting pretty hot in July/August.

Chez Vallee is a beautiful old cognac farm with lots of beautiful details. Amanda is a very nice owner and the communication with her was friendly & uncomplicated. The house is located in between cognac vineyards in the middle of nowhere, but this is also its charm. We walked to the village and enjoyed the Guinguette twice – lovely evenings there! Its only a 1h15 drive to Bordeaux for a city tour. And one of us also joined the weekly yoga class with an external teacher on Thursday and she enjoyed it (dont worry, the yoga class stays in the yoga room and dont disturb the holiday).

Overall we definitely can recommend this place for venues or family&friends get togethers.

Chez Vallee was amazing. We were 12 adults and 15 kids and there was plenty of room for all. The courtyard and pool area were brilliant. It’s much closer to bakers / shops than we thought. A beautiful base to explore the region, would very much recommend.

We’ve just completed an incredible Nordic Fitness Retreat at Chez Vallée, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The house and facilities are absolutely superb for this type of event—spacious, peaceful, and beautifully designed to support both activity and relaxation.

Our Yoga and Strength sessions took place in the stunning, airy Yoga Barn, filled with natural light and calming energy. We Nordic walked along the quiet lanes, tracks, and trails winding through Cognac vineyards and golden sunflower fields that surround this breathtaking property.

Between sessions, we swam and unwound around the lovely pool, soaking in the serene atmosphere and warm sunshine. Every detail was just right—from the setting to the space to the thoughtful touches throughout.

Chez Vallée is a truly special place, and I highly recommend it for any type of retreat. A huge thank you to Amanda for creating such a welcoming and inspiring environment. We’ll definitely be back!

This is the most amazing venue whether it’s for a retreat , holiday with family or friends or just a cheeky escape to reset & relax. This weekend was all about wellness , yoga , massage ,nutrition fabulous food , discussions and the tools to reset

This was my fourth retreat with Amanda and it was the best one yet!

The balance between activities/workshops/yoga and relaxing time around the pool was perfect. The food was nutritious and incredibly tasty and the beds were comfy with everything you need.

We had a fantastic stay at Chez Vallee! A group of parents with young children and the place was perfect – even better than the photos. The outside area is perfect for relaxing and socialising. The place is large so you have plenty of space. We loved the wood fired hot tub. There’s 4 different dining spaces/tables so lots of flexibility! We also used the cabin by the pool which was ideal for one of the group. The views of the vines from the property are stunning. Amanda and the team were so helpful and accommodating to us they could not have been friendlier! Highly recommend and we hope to come back!

Wonderful stay at a fabulous house with very versatile layout. Flexibility meant that despite mixed weather we never felt crammed in and we were able to adapt eating and relaxation options to suit. Pool and hot tub were great and bedrooms lovely. Very attentive hosts and property managers. Many thanks Amanda, Phil and Aimee. Would definitely recommend for a family stay in a beautifully peaceful location.

Beautiful house, perfect for a large group if you want to explore the countryside. All of the rooms are perfect, most of them have an ensuite bathroom.

Phil & Aimee (who were the hosts on behalf of Amanda) took good care of us, very friendly and responsive.

A perfect place to stay as a big group. Amazing pool and lots of big communal spaces with good seating. Bakery and Butchers about 5 minute drive away, we rented cars which worked well.
